Today's psalter
Sunday, June 30, 2002
Tone VIII
On this date we celebrate:

Sunday of All Saints
Middle feast without vigil Synaxis for the holy, glorious, and illustrious apostles.

For the Sunday of All Saints
Troparion, Tone IV
Crimsoned with the blood of all your martyrs, O Christ, our God, * your church cries out to you: * Bestow your mercies on all mankind, * and grant the world your lasting peace.

Kondakion, Tone VIII
To you, creator of all things, * the universe presents the saints as first fruits of creation. * For their sake, O saviour, rich in mercy, * preserve us all in holiness and peace through the Theotokos.

Exapostilarion, Tone II
Let us praise the baptist and forerunner, with the apostles, prophets, and martyrs; * let us hymn the hierarchs and all the martyred clergy, * the Christ-like and ascetic men and women, and all the just, * together with the legions of angels. * With hymns of praise, * let us crown them as we should, * seeking a share in their glory at the hands of Christ, the saviour.

For the synaxis
Troparion, Tone VIII
In flaming tongues you received the Holy Spirit, * and from there you went out to preach to all the world. * You destroyed the illusions of idolatry, * catching with the nets of your preaching those who were lost. * For this, the heavens tell out your glory, * while the firmament proclaims your work. * As we celebrate your memory in faith, * we beg the Lord to save us by your prayers.

Kondakion, Tone II
With great glory, * Christ, the rock, glorified the foundation stones of faith: * the chosen twelve disciples together with Paul. * As we mark their memory today in our faith, * let us glorify him who glorifies them.

Blessed is the kingdom of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit both now and forever and unto ages of ages. Amen.
